Raised just a couple of miles from Manchester United’s home ground, I went from once selling a hot dog to Matt Busby, to studying Biochemistry in Edinburgh, and working alongside Nobel Prize winners at the prestigious Caltech in California.

Since retiring, my focus has firmly been on family life in Scotland and of course, honing my skills as the author of romantic thrillers.
